Typically, when you think of Deluxx Fluxx, you’re more than likely going to end up with some form of EDM, but last night’s show transcended that with bringing in Sudan Archives.
With her violin in tow, she thanked the crowd for attending her first U.S. tour, and everyone around the neon-engulfed atmosphere was packed like sardines to get a glimpse of the very talented artist, whose real name is Brittney Denise Parks. She also noted that she had some Detroit in her, from her Mom’s side.
Onlookers were heard saying that the club was in for an awakening when Sudan Archives hit the stage, as the space usually isn’t party to the same style of music, but by the middle of her set, everyone was hype, grooving, and enthralled, as if they were watching a dance.
Her latest release, ‘Athena,’ came out in November 2019, so be sure to check it out wherever you pick up your music. Get a taste of one right now by hearing “Limitless” off the album here, and have fun flipping through some of the images from last night in Detroit!
She’s got a couple more dates on the docket for this Spring, so be sure to check the tour info here:
