Detroit legend Royce Da 5′ 9″ has been ahead of the culture for years. His lyricism, unparalleled by any artist stepping to the mic, talks about life, love, social justice, and is a pioneer for the Black Community. Also, his collaborations with artists like the famed Detroiter Eminem are some of the slickest in the business. In celebration of the release of ‘The Allegory’, Royce 5’9″ performed at The Garden Theater in Detroit, bringing on crew staples like Kid Vishis, to an appearance from Crooked I, a longtime collaborator and member of the rap supergroup Slaughterhouse, and even up-and-comers like Detroit’s own Curtis Roach.
