Highly Suspect returned to Detroit (Royal Oak Music Theatre) as a make-up show after having to reschedule last month, and they did not disappoint.
Melding their new record ‘MCID’ with the prior favorites, ‘The Boy Who Died Wolf’ and ‘Mister Asylum’ on the setlist, fans new and old were birthed into the crew of MCID, which stands for “My Crew Is Dope.”
While their previous album had more of a Rock feel, this new album has notes of Hip-Hop, making an interesting combination for the hungry crowd. But that didn’t stop the band from doing their signature warm-up of screaming “FUCK” with the entire audience, as well as a longer guitar interlude for the fan-favorite “My Name Is Human.”

The band has dates scheduled well into 2020, so check to see if Highly Suspect is planning to make a pit stop in your neighborhood. As for Detroiters, we’ve got nothing coming up currently on the list, but the closest show would be their Grand Rapids date for the die-hard fans.
