As we’re winding down on Disney+ and Marvel show ‘Loki,’ it’s time to shift into ‘Black Widow’ season.
Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” is getting its Marvel boost in this origin-ish story of Natasha Romanoff. ‘Black Widow,’ scheduled for release July 9, stars Scarlett Johansson and is the postponed 2020 release and is kicking off Phase 4 for Marvel Studios. Considering fans of Black Widow have been waiting years for a stand-alone movie for ScarJo, we anticipate it’s going to have a great opening weekend.
As far as Malia J., her covers have been kicking ass all over cinema, and Marvel is the newest. In 2018, she became the recipient of the Clio Award for recording a stripped-down cover of Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It’s Worth” for the Hulu series ‘The Handmaid’s Tale.’
AltPress notes that the singer also “intends to release her upcoming debut EP, Reflections, featuring original songs as well as covers,” but no date has been determined for that release. Until then, check out the track that you’ll hear right as you queue up ‘Black Widow’ on Disney+ or sitting in your cozy bucket chairs in the movie theater!
