Do you feel like the 80’s was a prime time for music? Are you looking for something to satisfy your Blondie vibe or something that could have fallen right out of the mall scene in ‘Stranger Things’ Season 3? Aradia has just what you’ve been looking for!
The anthemic single called “No One Can Stop You” is full of synth and pep, but more importantly, it’s supposed to motivate women to keep pushing, growing, and breaking glass ceilings.
Aradia has this to say about the track and it’s direction:
“It’s just time – time for women and girls to Rise and Shine, not in a “fight” against society, but as an example of what empowerment looks like, and what mutual respect and connection looks like. I want my music to be an inspiration for listeners, a beacon of hope that changes your mood if you’re in a bad one and gets you out of your head and into the world.”
Aradia takes pride in composing and producing her own music, creating beats and blending Pop, New Wave, Electronica and more. Studying at the Aaron Copland Schoool of Music, and realizing it wasn’t her cup of tea, she decided to move on solo in order to create from her heart, noot technicalities.
Described best by a press release, “Her ability to illuminate moments large and small is distinctive, and she can bloody well knock you on your ass with her powerful arrangements or her voice. Aradia’s music isn’t a whim or a fad; it’s a life-altering experience.”
On top of her desire to help empower those around her, she is also heavy in multiple avenues of activism, loving to lend support to Animal Rights & Rescue, and racial/gender equality.
One would hope, after listening to the song on loop, that the next placements for Aradia’s “No One Can Stop You” will land at Pride Festivals around the world, and hopefully one day, I can turn on KEXP and hear the tune.
