So, a while back I found this map on Reddit of a bunch of abandoned spots in the Midwest when I was looking for a specific location in Flint. I wasn’t sure where it was going to take me, but when I made the trek to Toledo to photograph Ken and Daphne for their maternity photos, I looked at the map and shouted to Ken, who is a painter and famed graffiti artist (@phybr), “OH MY GOD, THERE’S ONE ABOUT 8 MINUTES FROM YOUR HOUSE!”
We piled into the cars and headed out to the spot called “Enchanted Forest.” I googled the spot, and found many interesting articles and photos of what it used to look like prior to years sitting, and decay. There was a clown that I couldn’t locate, but other than that, we found dismantled cars of a Flying Saucer ride, as well as a Ferris Wheel ride that has since been overgrown. Also, we found these badass ammo containers, seen in the photo with Cora (@oni.cora).
I also tried to fly my drone on the property, but I have more drone fails than drone successes, so it lasted about 20 seconds before I crashed it into a tree, and we went searching, all 4 and a half of us (Daphne is pregnant). We eventually found the drone, and I broke two wings off of it.
At least I bought the insurance.
